LED ZEPPELIN: THE STORM AND THE FURY
"Storm of Led Zeppelin"
3CD Factory Press Silver Disc CD
The May 1971 Nordic tour, which is still shrouded in mystery, is one of the few performances where you can hear Robert's best vocals! The performance, which does not drop in key as in the original, is exactly the word "climax". BLACK DOG and STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN, which are judged by their high-pitched vocals, are also perfectly sung, overwhelming the listener!
A super high-quality complete recording of the Copenhagen, Denmark performance on May 3, 1971, the day before the recently unearthed Odense performance! Although it is an audience recording, it is a good master, so it is a great performance that soundboard supremacy should definitely listen to. The extremely rare songs "FOUR STICKS" and "GALLOWS POLE" are also performed for the first time. The recording is said to have been transferred from the master reel to DAT, and the tape speed is adjusted with Jonesy's bass. There was a cut of about 4 seconds in this DAT version of "GALLOWS POLE". This was edited using another transfer. The finished master version of this version, called BERT13, had a missing sound in "DAZED AND CONFUSED". (Perhaps to respect the original master?) CD3 also comes with a restored version of that part. This Copenhagen performance, which was the next live performance after the BBC performance known for its masterpieces and great performances, is the best archive that captures Led Zeppelin at the height of their power. Let's feel their power in their youth with our whole bodies!
