For those who want to listen to Hollywood Bowl but are overwhelmed by the sheer number of releases, this is the one!
Live At The Hollywood Bowl, California, 23rd August 1964, 29th & 30th August 1965
The Hollywood Bowl concerts are the Beatles' first official live album, featuring live performances from the same venue in August 1964 and August 1965, with the best tracks compiled for this release. This album contains complete stereo recordings of the three concerts from August 23rd, 1964, and August 29th & 30th, 1965. While numerous Hollywood Bowl concerts are currently available, including underground and officially distributed releases, I can confidently say that this title is more than sufficient considering both price and content. All tracks are from the best possible soundboard recordings, including the 1977 release produced by George Martin and remixed by Geoff Emerick. I especially recommend this to anyone who hasn't yet heard the complete Hollywood Bowl performance.
This price for a permanent collector's edition pressed CD is fantastic!
