July 3, 1973 The legendary concert that declared the retirement of electric shock
at the final performance of the London Hammersmith Odeon at the end of the
"Ziggy Stardust" tour was officially released in the 1980s as "Ziggy Stardust:
Motion Picture". As you know, the content is incomplete due to studio editing and
overdub from the beginning. After that, the late Robin Mayhew, the sound
engineer of the show, leaked the cassette master directly connected to the sound
board, and from the pre-concert announcement, Mike Gerson's piano medley,
intermission and remained sealed. The whole picture of the concert on the day
including the co-starring with Beck has been clarified, but although the legendary
concert is recorded in an unedited and naked state, it is also an incomplete
sound source such as deterioration due to some tapes, skipping, pitch
adjustment etc. did. This time, the sound source has been re-edited by the latest
digital restoration work. The narrow monaural sound source has been converted
to stereo with the latest demix technology, and imperfect parts have been finely
repaired. This sound source, which has been familiar to collectors until now, has
been reborn with the latest upgrade. And DVD1 contains the widescreen HD
remastered video of "Jiggy Stardust: Motion Picture" released in theaters. The
official DVD was edited with a 4: 3 screen and the image was dark and hard to
see, but the 16: 9 wide screen wide screen HD remastered video has improved
details more clearly and is the current best video with the power unique to wide
screen. .. And DVD2 contains a TV broadcast version that includes a co-star with
Jeff Beck, who has been officially sealed for some time. Originally it was not
rebroadcast and was later converted to video, so this TV broadcast version has
no good video quality and is a video conversion video, but the faded dark video is
digitally restored and the poor video sound is a stereo remastered sound source
Replaced with and re-edited. You can also see the scene with Jeff Beck, who is a
valuable historical co-star, in the video with improved sound quality. The extra
video includes additional 1973 TV footage such as the BBC's "Gene Genie" and
"Drive-in Saturday," which were excavated footage from the 1973 BBCTV
footage, which is a valuable documentary of Jiggy. Following the 50th
Anniversary Collector's Edition of "Ziggy Stardust", this is the latest collector's
edition of interest from S & V!
